Last week was a great week for mail. I got a Sar5 and my new Muppy and also got the shipping notice for my HairyCarry's.

Here is a photo I quickly snapped with all the current Busse steels and no busse knives.

Here is one with the Sar5 on top. The Sar5 is a nice knife that is a very simple practical style I much prefer in my knives. The handle is quite a bit simpler and to my eye nicer than the Fusion or ASH handles. The only issue is it is a bit on the heavy side especially in the handle but it means the handle can be used as a hammer. It is a bit bigger than the YKCG about the same amount as the the SS4 is bigger than the Muppy. The blade is as thick as the YKCG as well. If you like the YKCG you will also probably like the SAR5. The extra bit of leverage is nice and I really like the false edge on the clip.

The Muppy is a very nice knife I am already quite taken with. If you love or missed the SS4 then you should jump on this knife. While not INFI a knife this small does not need the toughness and has all the other good qualities and even better edge retention(probably). I may even like the blade shape better than the SS4. Fantastic work Dan

Is INFI addictive?

I thought I should be immune because of my dog and Rat experience and yet before the Sar5 even got here I had another Busse on the way. I have a much anticipated SH-E that should be here next week.

Unsub - that same SAR5 is the same first Busse that I got as well. Not the last though...

Cool!

There have been alot of Sar5 being sold over at blade this last week, and at some pretty decent prices. I was tempted.

You know thugh I am a bit more excited about the Muppy?

The SH-E is pretty cool but I always get that before it gets here.

First impressions are often emotional and not grounded it fact. My first impression of the SAR5 was, "It doesn't look like a Busse". Now that I'm taking a hard look at it, it looks way more practical than the BATAC or even ASH-1. It looks like a normal hunting knife......except it has a hole in it! Good scores, Unsub. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
