Hi everone

I want a temporary sheath for my ASH-1 while I wait for the masterpiece from Jeff. There are 3 sheaths in the store that I thought might fit the ASH with a little modification:

Black Cordura for 6 blades
Kydex for Scrapper 6
Kydex for Yard Keeper

Which one do you reckon will come closest to the size of the 6.5 ASH? I don't mind tinkering with it to make it fit, and it's not a dress sheath I'm after.

If it's temporary why not make one out of cardboard and duct tape. it'll be cheaper and serve the same purpose.

I keep a few extra SY shaeaths around, 6" and 10". They have wider liners than the other brands, so they fit broad blades like the ASH-1 and Sarsquatch. The Chopeiler poked a small hole in the bottom one of them, woops, just a bit too long. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

of those three, use the cordura. Its often nice to have two sheaths for the same knife. That way, you can keep one strapped to your pack and one for EDC, or some similar arrangement. I'm in the same boat with my Dumpster Mutt, I'm waiting on a kydex sheath from the SY shop. In the meantime I'm using the sheath for my SOG seal pup (minus the liner).

I still have the $25 gift from Dan from the spring fever competition, so I thought I might as well get a sheath. Just as long as the 6 Cordura fits the ASH, which it seems it will.
