Having ventured in to the land of Busse, I have learned a few things. 1, Game Wardens are too small, but are awesome otherwise.(hint) Meaners are cool, but the talon hole makes no sense to me, takes up space, and it could use a finger choil.(hint 2) I've had others, but they have nothing to do with this post, but have led me to where I am now in knives. So........On Wed, I should have 2 new arrivals, both Scrappers. Can anyone guess which ones?

YKLE it is! This will be my first SR-77 blade, so I look forward to seeing first hand how the blade retains sharpness etc. I know its tough in the prying sense (which is why I like it) but I've heard mixed responses on edge retention. I'm used to plain ol' 5160, so if it's anything like that, I'm a happy camper!

fellow member "Sharp" and I just finished a massive fixed-blade comparison, and a YKLE was among the 7 knives tested. We should have that posted soon. From my experiences with my DMDC, the edge retention and sharpening ease seems fine. If you plan to use it (which I recommend) let us know your observations.

Have you hugged your camp knife today?

Sr-77 sharpens real easy, I have used the steel extensively sometimes wearing it so dull chopping or butchering for hours that the edge glides over my fingernail. It never ceases to amaze me how quick I can put a arm hair shaving sharp edge on any of my sr-77 knives.

Getting late but should be up soon.
