I really like having the option. The sage looks good to me, as does the urban gray and the olive green. I would never want Dan to stop offering painted ones. On SR77 and especially SR101, the coating makes care a bit easier in wet climates.

This may fall on deaf ears, but if SY does make CE knives, I for one hope they are stainless steel too.

I think the CE finish is very distinctive btw.

I wouldn't mind some CE models as long as the prices stay low, otherwise that'd be sweet.

i can see a SR77 blade with a bead blast finish having a rust spot but not stainless.

i understand their is no such thing as stainless but these dimples are no joke.they are like evil little mini rust buckets that live on the knife like a parasite.

maybe that was dramatic but the dimples worry me.

if all you guys want CE so much why dont you strip your blades like HD did??
