Hello everyone, this is my first time here and I look forward with enthusiasm to sharing and discussing our mutual interest...ahem, okay OBSESSION with these peerless knives that the Busse family has brought us. As of yet I own the Yard Hook from the yard, and from the swamp a Camp Tramp, Howling Rat gen2, and Howling Rat LM. No Busse INFI yet. I've been viewing all 3 forums for awhile , years in fact. Oh and one question, Can anyone recomend a good sheath for the Yard Hook? Thanks.

Welcome to the Yard meatcutter

are you looking for Leather, Kydex, nylon/cordura?
Rainwalker and Leatherface do a large share of our L/K needs
and the SY store has nice cordura ones that fit the Hook.

here's my kydex from Rainwalker;

Welcome, meatcutter. For the Yard Hook, I notched out the liner on the Scrap Yard 6"-7" Cordura sheath for the blade catch and the knife seated perfectly. Or you can have one of the sheath makers here on the forum do one for you if you want a true custom fit.

Thanks Guys , yes I actually am a meatcutter for a local grocery chain , I travel store to store in our zone, sometimes as many as four a week. In the fall I butcher deer , mostly just for friends . Any excuse to use a knife. Do you have any idea how easily a CampTramp can quarter a deer?

That Kydex sheath is nice, the hook does seem to be a problem with alot of sheathes. I had considered doing something like HornDog mentioned with a Spec-ops sheath. It would be nice to carry it while hiking (give the CT a rest!)

hey meatcutter, if and when you do quarter a deer, take some shots for us (if you can) it would be interesting to see and gross out the teens!
