Hey it wasn't that bad... I didn't have jelly. Making some more sandwiches. For a fat knife, it cuts really well. ![[Linked Image from i231.photobucket.com]](http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee10/Thomas_Mckay/IMG_0278.jpg)

Well, it was either that or a serrated bread knife which destroys bread. So naturally I took the sharper one. Here's a tip prying test that I did awhile back. Wood 'n Fruit Also, I jumped on my FBM. ![[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]](http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee292/The_Aaij_1/DSC_0006-2.jpg) Nothing at all compared to Andy's car hood destruction. Well, I did stab my FBM through some metal.

There are 2 things that Busse knives can do besides just cutt things that 99% of knives can't.
1 ,they can be used as an entry tool
Nothing destroys a knife like sticking it in a good steel doorframe and hammering it in with a something heavy and then prying the door open with it. The SAR5 is designed for exactly that.
2- throwing
I bet some of you have ruined lesser knives throwing them. Knives made for throwing can't do the work of regular knives because they are to soft and have no or very obtuse edges.
Most Busse kin knives can cut things like any other knife and often better and still do those 2 really hard jobs without being destroyed. Knives like the flat ground Mutts and the YKCG can cut their way right through a drywall wall if a door is blocked ,be thrown into a tree for hours of entertainment and still make dinner.

Sharp, when you're jumping on the knife like that, just make sure it doesn't jump up and embed itself in your shorts area!
I'm reminded of an experience I once had while trimming vegetation with a modified Ontario butcher knife. Underestimated the cutting ability of a sharpened false edge on a backcut, and the blade ended up--um--pretty close to home ; felt the tiniest little sting on my upper, inner thigh. Optimistically thought for a second or two that the almost complete lack of pain meant that I'd just cut a hole in my trousers--until the cloth fell back against my skin and the neat little slit in the cloth was instantly surrounded by a large spot of blood. Happily, missed the family jewels by at least an inch--but it did necessitate a trip to the doctor.

Yea, CnD and I are extra careful when we do stuff like that.
We make sure everything is completely secure before we attempt any kind of torture testing.
I don't do that stuff anymore, once is enough to prove that in a time of dire need, it will work.
