As you know I was lucky enough to snag a CGDM over at the forum.What is the difference in a regular Dumpster mutt and a Combat Grade Dumpster Mutt? I know the Double Cut version is I guess non-coated with a bead blast finish, but can anyone clear this up?

If you compare the Dumpster Mutts variation, (excluding the Mod 7), you'll find the LE and Double Cut to be the most similar with the exception that the LE had the old Busse Basic handles. Both are .25" blade thickness, and both have flat ground blades.

To contrast, the original Mutt (epoxy coated) is .285" thick, has the old Basic Res-C handles, and is sabre ground.

All are SR-77.

Yeah, the original DM is the DMCG. Congrats on the score, you'll love it. I can't let go of mines, I still do homework with it by my side.

All others are just pale comparisons to the original
