I thought my 100th post deserved a little something extra, so I decided to tell you about a great day I had about 2 weeks ago. I got home from work and my wife said I had a package. I opened it and found this little treasure.

My 1st Busse.... The loved (and hated) Scotch Dispenser. I like this blade. It takes some getting used to the feel of it, but once I did I liked it. A sheath for this knife will be soon on my list of things to get. It will be a great EDC blade that is very slim and light. Now this in and of itself would be a good day, but this was a great day. I went to the mailbox and found another box. It contained the following:

Woohoo... a BAD!. My 2nd Busse. This one did not take any getting used to. It felt like it belonged in my hand. I love this knife. As soon as I recover from some of my expenditures, A sheath for this is also on my to do list after I recover from some of these expenditures (unless the Mud Puppy hits the store)

The two knives together:

I discovered Scrapyard knives about 6 months ago, Here is my collection to date:
YYCG, YG, DMDC, SD, and BAD

Oh yeah, I also received an email from Eric a few days later and my Harry Carry is now on it's way to my house. So far 2008 has been a great knife year.

Ooh, you thinking of getting some custom scales on the SD or just wrapping some cord??

Right now I am just thinking about leaving it how it is and getting a horizontal kydex sheath for it. It should just about disappear on a belt and always be close at hand.

Congrats ,I am a huge fan of the little fixed blades like the BAD and especially skelly's like the SD. It makes way more sense to have your first expensive knife be an EDC you can use every day than a big one that spends most of it's life in a drawer.

I just got my first Busse last week and my second as well. Instead of following my own advice I got a SAR5 and a SH-E

How do you like the SAR5? I keep looking at it and might have to pick one up. Looks like a great camp knife.
