I'm planning on doing a hike and taking some knives with me. Which one's not really sure yet, but been considering the DogFather, Swamp Warden, Fehrman Thru Hiker, RatManDu (again, lol), ROSarms Stalker. Most likely going up Big Cottonwood Canyon area again. Might visit some lakes, most likely. Hopefully the weather holds out, heard it might rain though, we'll see. So, anyone else got's some plans for some outdoor fun?

yeah, actually. I'm really excited to go up to the Columbia Gorge, a large valley that surrounds the Columbia river and forms the border between oregon and washington. Its a beautiful, sunny area of dry grass, pines, and oaks. I'll be taking the full suite of fixed blades, but I'll probably be hiking with my RMD and RTAK-II, with my ZT0200 and SAK in support

Cool. I should bring my ZT0200 as well, It's my EDC, but when I go out hiking, some how I leave it behind. Have a great time, and take some pics.

I plan to take the quad for some quality time in the bush but if it is to hot I may hide in my air conditioned room with a SH-E some sandpaper and a good book.

If I do go I will take my bow as well and get some practice. I am no where near ready for hunting with it and I would like to go this year.
Throwing knives and hawks are also fun. I may even try some bushcrafty stuff like Sharp and Cloak.

I'll be going out in the 105 degree heat to check out the land my Dad and I just bought and maybe cut a feww trails. I am super excited about it. I have always wanted to own some land, and I finally came across the right deal with my Dad and best friend as my partner. We bought 167 acres along the Wichita River just west of where I live. I know 167 acres isn't much, especially here in Texas, but it is to this poor boy it is my own little slice of heaven!

It is very wooded and thick with two 20 acre plots that the previous owner had planted in blackberries and grapes. We will be leaving about an acre of grapes and blackberries but i'm not sure what we'll do with the rest of it. We have a lot of trail cutting to do so the big blades as well as the chain saw will be coming out this weekend. Here are a few pics. If anyone is interested I'll post more.

Here are a couple pics from back in the thick stuff...

Great Pics, Tolly!! Looks like a great place! Nothing like having your own place to run around on!

Other than making more pants... I'm going to try and go Blackberry picking one more time before they're gone for the year. So far I've only harvested a little over 2 gallons this year. I usually average 6 to 8 gallons a year. I love a good Blackberry cobbler!

Nice property, Tolly. You need a new machete!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Heck yeah! I'm always on the look out for new machetes. I would be first on the list for a ScrapYard machete/bolo of some kind. Right now my go to machetes are mostly modified Tramontinas, Ontarios, Cold Steels. The Trams see more use than any of them though, those things will take a massive amount of punishment without breaking and can be sharpened on almost anything.

Right you are. The Trams are cheap, light, and tough.
