I know everyone likes the big S7 knives and maybe a big chopper like the S7 or S9 should be next but I kind of like the stainless although it is difficult to sharpen ,it does take a great edge.

People have been wanting a Scrapyard version of the Swarden for a long time and I figured the new 154 would be a great steel for it. It would even make a nice LE model and could be worn close to the skin without sweat causing a problem.

They would also be great for mods like polishing ,zero edges and even handles.

154 is a great choice for a small sharp knife and I a sure Vic will promise not to break this one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

So who wants one?

Would you buy a ScapWarden?

Skellies and neckers are cool, but I don't really mind taking care of the SR-77. It's easier to sharpen as well.

I think SYKCO should go with the flow and have a skelly in SR-77.

Busse Warden INFI
Swamp Warden SR-101
Scrap Warden SR-77

I like that line up. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I am a big fan of Sr77 but only in knives larger than the S6 because it does not have very good edge holding and that kind of toughness is not needed in a small knife. I did like the YKCG though.

2 votes for Unsub's a genius although one of them is mine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I voted yes, but I'd prefer a folder. Just have SY put a handle on it that is usable. 154CM is good for a little cutter.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

although I personnaly may not actually buy it... I voted yes because I think it is a great idea and they need to make something with all that steel!
I do have more interest in big knives... but a SY skelly would be awesome.

i dont see the need for another stainless unless the blade size and profile is very different from the MPLE or HC.

since both of their blades where very similar in shape and size to any type of warden it seems the only difference would be the handle so i would have no need.

i wouldnt mind another stainless but i would hope for something completely different.i think a stainless scrapyard version of the old swamprat RAT HUNTER with 4in blade,8in over all,3/16 thick,sr101 steel.

or....

the swamprat DOG SKINNER in D2 steel,4in blade,10in o/l,1/8-3/16 thick.

i would like to see stainless scrapyard versions of those.i would also like some type of SCRAPSHAKER in SR77.

12c27 skele yes, 154CM no. Sorry- forgetting my manners- make that 'no thank you very much'..

Wonder where the S7 or even better Scrapweilers are?

SLIGHT ADDITION DUE TO THE TEST PICS-

A Muppy style blade super lightweight skele necker could be good...

There is a DogSkinner for sale on BF but 300$ was to rich for my blood.
A 154 DogSkinner(the name even works) would be excellent and quite different from
the HC which was a valid criticism of the skelly.

The main reason I chose 154 besides edge retention and rust resistance was it is a steel Scrapyard already is using and is likely to use more of.
D2 is a great steel especially for a skinner but i doubt we will see it while 12c27 is popular in moras it is not as good a steel as 154. It is substantially easier to sharpen though.

every knife i've received from the yard has given me, after the novelty dies down, the impression that "it's not the DFLE."
