The Forest Service claims there is a shelter at the junction of a river and creek in one of the large valleys near where we live. I've been in the area several times and have never seen it but it seemed like a good thing to seek out with one of the offspring. So off we went.

My Bird Dog is on holiday getting some pants made by Martin Swinkels. You may have seen his work on Rat Chat, bladeforums or here at his blog
http://martinsheaths.blogspot.com/ He does great work and if you need a sheath for your Bird Dog or Swamp Rats, drop him a line. Anyways, I took out this old Smith & Wesson that used to belong to my Dad and gave it some fresh air.
