I find the traditional method of having a knife in a leather sheath on a leather belt not at all useful. The standard pocket clipped folder that has replaced it is a bit better but still not really great.

I have tried everything other than the prison "suitcase" method and so are my fave is neck carry for light and flat knives. I have my Spyderco Mule in a OST sheath
around my neck right now and it is easy to just forget about it because it is so comfortable. I usually wear it between a wifebeater and a T-Shirt.

i also got a really neat Spyderco police Folder sheath. I attached a small tekloc since the photos. It can be attached anywhere as a great hideout piece.
I usually prefer plain edge but I do like some fully(not partially) serrated spydies.

For big knives I like to attach them to my pack.

Our laws mean an EDC needs to be a slip joint folder under 3 inches in length...my knives are a small key chain SAK...so in the pocket...but a larger SAK or a Leatherman Juice is best on a belt pouch or in a smock/waterproof jacket pocket...I often carry the Benchmade frame lock though if I have a reason to carry it....usually shooting related...and carried in a pocket. You can carry a lock knife or fixed blade so long as you have a good reason to do so.

You poll doesn't account for those of us who carry multiple knives! Recently, I've been carrying 3 sizes of knives. Swamp Warden in my pocket in the sheath I made for it, my Spyderco Ladybug in my coin pocket, and my Cold Steel X2 Voyager in my ruler pocket.

Actually since you carry all your knives (and a Glock if I remember correctly) in your pockets Andy you can check the pocket box.

Are laws in Canada used to be good and you could carry any size knife concealed or otherwise so long as you don't intend to use it as a weapon.

However some arsehole crown prosecutors, LEO's and judges have now decided that every one hand opening knife is really a switchblade and started charging people for perfectly legal knives like the Kershaw leek. They did not get any approval from our government but changed a law criminalizing a huge amount of people by
"re-imagining' it. So I have been usually been sticking to fixed blades although where I live it is not likely to be an issue.

Well, it depends. Sometimes I carry a sheath knife on my belt, or my Shaker around my neck. I don't have a single method of carry. And recently, I've also been carrying my SS4, Leatherman Ti Charge, and Endura in my "Man Bag". Also my Chopweiler in my "truck bag". I may carry too many knives. Or not enough...

I was riding my bike the other night and realized that if i got pulled over I would have to explain a SS4 on my pack a Lambert custom clipped to my pants and a
browning comp bowie in my pack as well as a multitool and Fenix TK10.

I would totally EDC an AK like the Haji tribesmen if I could.

On BF I guy said he had a .45 a back up piece and a spare mag each and a folder. His plan would be to disrobe and hit the attacker with 45 pounds of cargo shorts.

Ha. Some people do, in my opinion, tend to carry rather too much equipment with them in their pockets or clipped to their belt. That's kinda what they made satchels for. If your masculinity is strong enough to wear a bag over your shoulder.

Hahahah.

I normally carry 2. I have my Spyderco Wave Delica in my right pocket and my left belt loop are my keys and Rat Cutlery Izula hanging from my carabiner.

Luckily I don't have to explain myself. I think I could use my pants for a sap too.

I have a whole bunch of man bags and messenger bags. We should have a thread with pics sometime. I know I'm not the only one with some. I'd like one of those Maxpedition ones, but I don't want to pay that much. Most of mine came from Goodwill.

I posted this a while back of my EDC items in my pants. Only thing that has changed are the knives. Oh, I also started carrying the Maglite in my bag instead of my belt.

Now I've been carrying even more in my "man bag", but I usually leave it in the car. It has a Glock 17, SS4, my keyboard, extra battery for my phone, flashlight, etc.
