WOW I get a comment from the BIG DOG. Thanks Dan. A rugged sheath for the most rugged knives. I love the DC Dumpster Mutt. Thanks Dogs.

Those are the ugliest sheaths I have ever seen! I love them though! They have a definite character and they probably work just fine. I also like RatRods ,old beat up musclecars and rods with black primer ,big motors and steel wheels.
Your sheaths are Ratsheaths.

I never said they where pretty. But I am getting better these are the first two sheaths I have ever made. I give it up to Rainwalker because it is not easy working with leather. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I totally meant it as a compliment. I have tried and failed working with leather and doing my own stitching. Leather is so hard to work with because it stretches.

I actually really like how your stitching looks. It reminds me of the MadMax movie like the kind of sheath one of the bikers would have. I hope you don't take my comment as criticism.

I like the looks of your sheaths <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /><img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> function first, looks second (if that sounds weird itīs direct translation from swedish <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />)

The second one looks cool, does the loop function as a horizontal belt carry?

Unsub I didnt take what you said as criticism. I was just joking. Thanks or the comments and the Mad Max thing is pretty cool. It all good Unsub.

Mrpink you are right on I use the loops to wear it horizontal. It is very comfortable with a small knie like the DM.

Way to go Ronin! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Some of my first sheaths look pretty much the same, and they all carry knives just fine. You will get even better with more practice. Like you, I readily bow to Rainwalker's creations of beauty, but mine work for me and I can use the sheath money to buy new blades instead! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> By the way, on a couple of my sheaths I riveted a cross strap which is meant to support a compass pouch with "alice clip" - meant for a PSK or 1st aid kit. Obviously, on a bigger sheath - such as for a DogFather - you could have a couple of pouches. Plus, there is always the choice of attaching to MOLLE gear. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Keep up your good work! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> Tom
