There have been reports of ape sightings in my county and nearby counties for years, but no apes have been captured. Down in Silver Springs, Florida there are monkeys that have escaped and gone native. That is where they used to film the Tarzan movies. I guess that it is possible that some apes or monkeys might have escaped captivity and are living in the woods and swamps of GA and FL. There are no known native apes in North America.
