Check out my post on BladeForums for the process and some story.

Here are a couple pics - Members here have helped inspired me to do this and also my wife thinking it would be cool. She started eyeing my CE SARsquatch and she likes the SAR5. Put the combination together = Competition SAR5. I may convex the edge sometime - not just yet though.

micarta is impervious to stripper. Putting is on the handle is the result from trying to get the coating off all exposed surfaces including the spine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
