I know a few liberal Canadians who think that everyone in the US is a Gecko .45.

I think this has to be real simply because anyone who could write something that funny would be doing it professionally. Also I have met a few people with the
"gecko gene".

I definitely have a bit of the gecko gene myself. For example I actually own a bulletproof vest and live in suburban Canada. I have a huge colllection of fighting knives that have only opened mail. I have the standard issue mall ninja physique (ie chubby white guy with a poor sense of balance). I own a nice rifle with a scope and bipod but can't shoot worth a poop. Really the only thing that keeps me from BEING Gecko .45 is a sense of humour.

But would you jump in front of your partner and block bullets while she got her gun ready? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Unsub....I reckon I see what your saying but would say there is a million miles of difference....mainly in "reality perception"....the posts by this guy on the hard ware he is criticising and then looking to buy are highly unlikely to be true....he mentions a HK MP5SD...which is the moderated or silenced version of this sub-machinegun....no way is he able to have access to a full auto moderated submachine gun in the US ? ....the moderated aspect is prohibited in half of your States and "full auto" is by special permit only....

Just because you see a glimmer of "the common man" in some of what he trys to stand up for...it does not mean the Mr Average guy who excercises his right to own and shoot a firearm is potentially identifiable with this character. This guy is a fantasist....if he is a true character....way beyond the normal parameters of what is healthy...and some fantasy and self promotion is actually normal....we all have a bit of "Walt" entitlement to call ourselves normal.....this guy is envisioning "Die Hard" happening in his Mall and fantasising about the equipment they should have to cope with it....he is off the charts on "reality perception" ...

Anyway...I cannot get my head around someone like that being genuinely a true character...he would have everyone he meets in stitches if he spoke as he posts...his career would have moved into stand up comedy long ago....

If guys like that are common on the ground....no wonder the second amendment should be protected....normal people need to be armed incase his wires finally fuse for good and he goes off on one...and pound to a pinch of salt...he probably might well have an arsenal to do it with. Crikey...I cannot believe I am considering this guy as a real character....initially for me it was the funniest thing I had read in ages....

I look at this guy as a cautionary tale to not take yourself to seriously.

+1 No matter who you are or what you do or have done for a living. Think of all those politicians and celebrities who are just as delusional as that poor boy.

Thanks for posting this, I always wondered where "Mall Ninja" came from. I could not stop laughing. When I got to this point my wife came in to see why I was laughing so hard:

I mean what if a posse of gang bangers starts driving through the mall all a blazin’ in their ‘74 Licoln Continental? Do your low profile, battery powered patrol units come equipped with mounts for attaching Hellfires? Also, what if your three-man team is ambushed by superior numbers of Chechin rebels while guiding traffic at the escalator? If I were you I’d consider mounting claymores to the sides of your HUMGEE (”g” for golfcart). We all eagerly await your next installment!

I finished off the bits I missed out last night....felt a bit guilty laughing so hard ...but whichever way....whoever wrote this stuff has certainly brought a lot of laughter to what must be thousands by now....which is'nt a bad thing. So long as we don't fall foul of the rules here we should do a quick review on what we thought were the funniest bits?

For me I had to take my hat off to them for giving as good as they got....when Nordic started refering to SPECOPS as GEEKOPS and SPACECOP....they came right back at him as "No-dic".....that had me seriously laughing out loud....it was bits like this that make me think the guys posting were really "ubber funny trolls"....they were more than a match for anyone who was trying to have a go....I still think this was done by very clever writers who were out for a laugh....another bit I won't quote but when one guy having a go said he did'nt know BS could be stacked so high....the kick back response is just hilarious...

Got to be the work of true comic genius..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I know a guy that got into the RCMP Reserves (later kicked out), one day I saw him hiding behind a post at work "shooting his finger at imaginary attackers in the park across the street"
Funny as he!! when I asked him what he was doing he replied practicing for the streets.
I've known the guy for over 20 years and he really is harmless but he did get carried away.
Once in the lunchroom while I was talking to another guy about bow hunting, he interupted and started talking about what he could do with his 38 and bullet proof vest.
I jokingly replied that he could stand 100 yards away and I could shoot him with my 338 with the right loads and not only would the bullet go through him and his vest but also probably kill the cop standing behind him.
He left

I think geco45 was a troll having fun, but you never know.

It is not so much what I really "think" but I chose to take it as an article of faith that Gecko .45 stalks the malls of America making it safe from terrorists or unruly shoppers.

That was hilarious! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I truly hope that those two guys were playing the rest of the forum for laughs but that may be giving them way too much credit. I know that somewhere in the world there really are guys just like this.

I actually remember that post from the GT web-site before all the lore arose around it. It made me laugh then and it still brings a tear to my eye.
