I subscribe to Tactical Knives and Blade magazines for just a few months now. Has there ever been a review of a BusseKin knive in them, or any other knive mag. I have seen the Busse Combat Knive ad in Blade last month and this month.

My Blade subscription has been on and off over the past decade. Plenty mention of Busse over the years and yeah, I saw the black crinkle ASH-1 w/ black micarta ad on page 19. It is the RMJ article that bothers me. Now everybody and their mother is going to want one while the backlog just gets worse <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> .

Funny the ad is there. I thought there were no more to be had?

I get blade and tactical knives, very little on busse in blade, zero pics in the latest, the best of blade 2008. Theres, Knives illustrated also but Ive yet to have a subscribtion for. Few months ago there was a tactical weapons mag that listed the busse ash1 in special knife section.

I saw one on Swamprat in Blade or KI I think but one of the featured knives was the M9 which i have never seen nor heard of. Good looking knife though.
There is also ads for the ASH1 in a lot of new ones and the original ad for the rat infested nuclear junkyard where Scrapyard knives are made got me here.

I also saw the new RAT necker that looks a LOT like the Swarden and the RMJ hawk that looks a lot like the CrashRat. The little RMJ hawk looks pretty cool though.

I've subscribed to Blade for years, although I've gotten bored with it lately. I think I'm going to subscribe to TK for a while, I always enjoy picking them up and looking through them at books stores.

I did see an article on Swamp Rat knives in Blade once can't remember exactly when though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

One mag I tend to sleep on and shouldn't is Knives Illustrated. It tends to have some interesting articles. The one on the Fears/Foster survival knife is excellent because it spends a lot of time discussing 440C steel which is one of my favourites. Also the article about pocket carry for neck knives is excellent because I am really a big fan of that type of carry method. It even shows how the line works and everything.


Another great mag with a bit of knife content is the G&A yearly surplus issue.
This years had the M3 Dagger and the coolest Schrade paratroopr auto ever.

Blade is worth getting just for Ed Fowler's writing. I love that guy!

tell me about it.i talked to richard from RMJ 2 days ago and he said that every time th history channel plays that "history of axes" episode military orders just keep piling in and that keeps pushing the orders of civvies like me back.

5-6 weeks ago they told me it would be 4-5 weeks and now they are saying another 6 weeks.

i honestly without trying to be negative or pessimistic,just realistic am figuring not before christmas.

it was an article on swamprat knives,especially the picture of the crash axe that first attracted me to any busse kin.than it was an add for scrapyard with the guy head first in the dumpster,feet hanging out in the air that grabbed my attention for the yard which all led me to busse combat which i knew about but never paid any mind.

Prob with Blade is that the pages are mostly in black and white. Awful visuals!
