I see today that a member(Dogbert) got an "instant ban"
Can i ask what the criterea is for such a penalty ?

I didn't even realize Dogbert was banned. Must have been pretty serious to warrant that. Usually the mods will give ample warnings, which they may have done. I know Chris and Tom would not do something that drastic without good cause.

Just wondered? I saw another Dog was given a "time out" for asking questions that lots of other Dogs have been asking too????

Generally, I stay out of these things since it's usually none of my business anyway. However, I admit at the risk of getting a time out myself that I was taken aback by that as well. The last time I looked there was nothing in the rules against expecting someone to deliver on their word, or voicing a complaint. However, there apparently is.

I don't recollect Dogbert ever previously crossing any rules ......his last but fatal post was about a CE Satinjack which was particularly nice...hence I am suprised.

Anyway.....Ted's comments may have some truth in them....so I am not going to dwell on this. The older JYD's probably have more latitude to do this.....but if it is a case of restoring confidence in what can be said....some clarification as to how this happened would be good.
