I have lost interest in the thick S6 style knives so the BD is exactly what i am
interested in. i would like to see better edges from the factory.
I love the 154 stainless but it is a bear to sharpen so a good factory edge is that much more important. The Muppy was a little obtuse for my taste but a quite acceptable edge

There is only one kind of sheath for the Bird Dog though. it absolutly needs a deep skandi leather dangler with the little leather flap at the tip like a real fish and bird knife.

I have been wanting a thin sharp Scrapper for so long and Dan finally made it.

The combination of 154 and S7 for a tough laminate with that really hard sharp edge would be nifty.

Guess I'm going to pass on this one, too. I just don't need a smaller knife.

I'M IN!!!!!!!!...........for the 1/2 price sheaths Like the MPLE the BDLE is a great little knife. Since I already have one I'll stand back and let the new Dogs feed.

I have a number of great sheaths (and more on the way) made by rainwalker but the nylon sheaths the Yard offerers are a very serviceable sheath. I think getting a couple of spares while the price is right is a good idea.

As my wife would say....."Honey I didn't just spend $500.00 on shoes I saved $300.00 because I waited until they were on SALE!"

LOL I usally hear..."Honey I just saved us $300" Who is "us" but after 24 years I have learned to say "no kidding -- thats great"

Just bought the mple. Going to skip the second bowl and jump into the third when it is announced. I'm hopping for the dogfather.
