Overall, not a bad night but the main match was a JOKE!!!

Chuck Liddel was screwing around, prancing about like I dont know what and Evans knocked him out COLD. I was so pissed. Evans was show boating and you should have seen the 5 black guys in the bar I was at when Evans TKOed him... They were jumping up and down like a bunch of hooligans. It was hilarious.

Liddel is the better fighter IMO, and I am not a huge fan of him but the way Evans was dancing around after the fight really made me upset and hate rashad evans. NO CLASS at all.

I am glad Dan Henderson won in the lightweight fight though. Overall, good night, good beer, and chips and salsa with the rotc buddies. the spectacle was when evans knocked out liddel though. Unbelievable! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Personally, I have never thought Liddell was that good of a fighter. He's a one-trick pony.

I've been saying for several years that he needs to learn to keep his hands up. He always lets them hang low, and bobs them around at his sides, leaving his face wide open for a good puncher.

Look at him now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Rashad fan. I think he's an [censored]. I was hoping Liddell would win by KO in the 1st. I guess not.


I'm also happy Dan Henderson won his fight.

I don't think Rashad is that great, but I do think that Lidell is done. Just too old for the fight game. I did not see the fight though, it was not a card that interested me. Now Lesner/Couture, that is one I will watch. Or St Pierre/Penn...

Anderson Silva is still fighting at 185, but easily could be good at 205. He did jump up for one fight and knocked out an average 205 Irvin. He wants to hold belts in both. I would like to see him fight a top tier 205 person... There is just no one at 185 that challenges him. A St. Pierre/Silva fight would be interesting but I don't' think Silva can get to 170 and he would beat St. Pierre without much problem at 185 (IMO)

Liddel is 38. I couldnt believe it when I saw that.

I like Frank Mir personally. Henderson and some other guy named Franklin were class acts I thought. Very respectful to their opponents and in their comments afterwards.

Rich Franklin was the 185 lb champ for a while until Silva beat him twice. Very humble and classy guy.. He and Henderson are my favorite fighters. Chuck is done after loosing to Keith Jardine and now Evans.

Rich Franklin... He truly is a stand up guy. He thanked the Lord after the fight and I was very impressed with his overal attitude. Class act, again.

I miss the early UFC like the one where "King of the Streets" Marco Raus broke everyones feet or that huge alaskan with no teeth who bear hugged everyone out.
Now it is just another MMA match with some stand up fighting.
