That's a sweeeeeet looking blade Rainwalker. I have one just like it on the way. I really like the Tan, I usually just get Black on Black, but I decided to do something different this time, I'm glad I did.

It can be tough at first, but here is a cheat sheat for the Busse acronyms: Busse Acronyms ... scroll down to the 3rd post. This Thread is a sticky at the top of the Busse Forum @ Bladeforums Unfortunately, there are TONS more acronyms for Scrap Yard and Swamp Rat as well. Good luck. .

I'm so retarded... what does the FBM acronym stand for?
Hangs his head in shame...
Brad Brad, The acronym page is behind on updating the constantly new additions. NMFBM stands for Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Battle Mistress - Basically a super-sized FBM with rounded corners (meltdown treatment ) NMFBMLE just has "LE" added to the end for satin and a number etched on the blade for an extra $330 LE's from Dan here at Scrap Yard are MUCH more reasonably priced with typically about $20 - $40 more for satin..... (I won't mention the DMLE... ) .

So Jeff, I realize I might be putting you on the spot a little. But, I think you should be able to tell us about your favorites. Price aside, I think they are an AWESOME group you have there. (I know you have many others. ) How do you rank the following knives: Please include your views as why you like which ones, what you consider their strengths. And weaknesses if you feel so inclined. Hmmmm feel free to add the Hell Razor, SJTAC, ASH1 varients, Camp Tramp and some others into the mix. I assume you have those. .

I have three of the knives in Jeff's pic, a SarsQ, DFLE and the NMFBM just arrived today . I can't give a comparison on usage or cutting / chopping ability but I can say the DFLE and SarsQ feel soooo light and down right agile in the hand after holding the NMFBM beast. The NMFBM is one big knife. Neal

DANG Neal... That is one HECK of a start for being "NEW". I couldn't personally justify the NMFBM's price. Although, I wish I could. It looks awesome. But, I do have the other two. Both Very Awesome! And I agree they are both very agile and well balanced for their respective sizes and potential uses. One HECK of a start. I also have the Swamp Rat Chopweiler and I can attest it is an outstanding chopper for it's size. But, weighs almost as much as the DFLE and the DFLE is a better chopper. I suppose the Chopweiler is a little more versatile (????). The Chopweiler is thicker, a tad longer and heavier than the almost otherwise comparably sized SarSquatch. The SarSquatch is as you say reasonably light and nimble. Considering it is plenty tough, I like the SarSquatch a lot because it is agile and nimble. I have always loved the Chopweiler. But, I honestly feel the DFLE and Battle Rat are better choppers at similar weight. So, if going shorter, I want more versatility. I feel the Camp Tramp and the SarSquatch have some slight advantages for my style of use over the stouter heavier Chopweiler. But, all good. The FSH is also heavier and larger. I believe that is a FFBM (fat and heavy Battle Mistress) that apparently almost weighs as much as the longer NMFBM. So, many reports discuss how massive and heavy the FFBM is. Hopefully Jeff will add more. How about a chop off comparison Jeff???? .

Your knife seems to be clean. Let us all look aside and hope that it becomes appropriately dirty in the near future.
