There is nothing better than spending time with the kido. A good dad you are and building memories that he will have all his life. Good for you. I raise my glass

Dan

thank you kind sir.

i have completely put my entire social life,or just life period on hold to spend more time with him seeing he doesnt really have a mother.not that its a chore or anything like that,he is my favorite hobby.i never felt like i had a meaning in life or anything to contribute.all the lessons i learned the hard way have a purpose as i can teach them to him.

Awesome pics!!! The Adirondacks are my favorite stomping grounds. Its the most beautiful country I have seen. You ever do any hunting or fishing up there?

not much of a fisher although i'd like to get back into it,especially with a BDLE to use.i find down state to be better for the deer and did go bear hunting once.it was only me and 900 other bear hunters in the woods that day...lol.

Yeah there is definitely more deer downstate, but the "dacks" offer some really remote hunting opportunities and a chance for solitude. I hunt a area outside of the town of inlet. There is a lot of land and plenty of little camp grounds.
The fishing is sometimes really tough, or really easy. I love brook trout fishing and the Adirondacks offers some of the best.

sorry man,not sure how i feel about bringing the dog for a number of reasons.

he needs to be kept occupied more than the kid,he's not one for just hanging out i dont think.i've tried to have him sit down and relax while i did some chopping before and he looks miserable sitting there, being cold and getting bit by bugs.

bugs are an issue with him because boxers are known to have very sensitive skin.i time while hiking horse flies got at him bad and he cant protect himself.his face swelled up so bad he looked like a mutant and every single bite on his body swelled up the size of a golf ball and he probably had 30 of them.poor guy,i did the best i could to fend them horse flies off of him.he tried out running them to no avail...lol.

another reason is sleeping arrangements.with his alergic reaction to bug bites i need to keep him in the tent.i've slept with this dog before and he is a complete bed hog.he will push you right out of bed and not even realize it but even more important is i'm worried about his claws tearing at the floor of my expensive tent and tracking all types of dirt and mud in there.

i'll maybe start him out small next year and see how he does.
