Got a few blisters from tying this but I think it turned out pretty nice. Good way to store some emergency paracord. ![[Linked Image from i194.photobucket.com]](http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z112/artrover/DSC04087.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i194.photobucket.com]](http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z112/artrover/DSC04086.jpg)

Nice!
What knot did you use, and how do you make it?

Nice work Rover, I just finished up some similar work on the Crash Axe I got in the mail yesterday. ![[Linked Image from i321.photobucket.com]](http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn382/tyger75/PA040271.jpg)

Thank you.
Actually, I've done that kind of D guard many times. I didn't recognize yours as being the same kind; yours seems thicker and rounder. Mine are wide and flat. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

That's because he did the knot on both sides, not just the side facing out. So, in essence, the two knots are one above the other, rounding and thickening it all. It looks very nice, I think.

CP, just go to your local bookstore and start perusing some books on knots, both decorative and utilitarian. I've been reading one called the "Pocket Guide to Knots", by Lindsey Philpott. It's pretty good, and has some nice knot designs you can use for lanyards.
If not books, just start researching online, there's hundreds of sites that give step-by-step direction in how to make certain designs. It'll take a little bit of practice, but you get the hang of it real fast.

Let's see more of that sheath, Rover.
Looks like it has a multi-tool on it, and something else. Sharpener? Fire starter?
