So what do you really want for the next release?

What knife do you want next?

I'm still fascinated by the notion of "neckers". So I'll support development on that front. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

In my mind, the ideal neck knife is one that is so stylistic as to seem more like a piece of jewelry than a tool, which would increase its social acceptance a whole lot. A small knife with a thumb-and-first-two-fingers handle seems about right to me, rather than a full handle with a lightening job done on it. When I was looking around at the neck knives available on the market, the majority of them were "tactical" holdout weapons intended to be worn under a shirt. Skeletonized grips, serrated edges, some were even double edged (making them daggers and illegal to carry in many states). Way too aggressive looking to wear outside the shirt in social situations, and if it's not outside your shirt and readily accessible I don't really see the point of having it. I always envisioned the neck knife as being small, light weight, and immediately handy for all the stupid little cutting chores that life throws your way. Not a weapon, holdout or otherwise. If I need a weapon, I think "gun" not "knife". Heck, even "pointy stick" beats "knife" most of the time.

Anyway.

I don't know if our local Mr. Busse would be interested. I think he has shown a measurable fondness for cutlery on the larger end of the scale. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

I have plenty of knives in the 3.5 to 4.5 ich range already. My only large knives are my DFLE and the NMFBM. A 7 to 9inch blade would fill a gap for me.

I voted other, for the simple reason that I'm still hoping to see either a Kukri or Bolo (or both!) come from Dan.

Chopweiler style S7.. Noss proved the S6's point was it's main weakness. I'll pass on weaker tipped knives of any size...

I voted for the 9 but a necker would be cool too. Something simple, slim, light, and useful. Best I've ever come across was the Busse Skeleton Key.

I think a full flatt ground S7LE would be nice. Dan did say shiny <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> so I'm thinking the next release will be a LE of some variety. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Of coarse I'm also hoping for a SR77 4-5" bottle opener/prybar combo tool with the logo. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I think the S7 would be nice, but what I really would like is a kukri or bolo. I have some nice knives in the 7" size already from Busse. The two SY features that lend themselves best to big choppers are SR77 shock steel and Res C handles. In smaller knives I really like the 154CM. A 4" Mud Puppy would be a great little knife.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Something big. Like DF big. Ideally, it would be a little bigger than the NMFBM, and Dan could then smirk at all the other Busses, and tell him that HIS is biggest. Dan wins, and we win.

I'm with HD, 4" mud puppy would be nice, or anything with mudder handles.
