I originally ordered the sheath from Rainwalker setup for a wide belt but then I decided to give it a try as a CCW carry and it works great so I decided to make a simple mod. Rainwalker generously provided a piece of kydex for the modification.
Thank you very much Jeff <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> .The brass knob I picked up from Lee Valley Tools and put it together this morning.
It rides really nice. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I don't get it.
What do you do with the brass button?

The Knob acts as a stop against your belt stopping the sheath from sliding down.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> That's really nice. I'm carrying a YardKeeper the same way. How much was the extra kydex and brass button?

You get two thumbs up on this mod!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Thank you....

Despite it's size it really does carry nicely. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I picked up the knob from Lee Vally. $1.75. I picked up three different ones all about the same size and price.

link to the one I used. It's "A" the 1/2" x 1/2" knob.

As far as the kydex I would send Jeff (Rainwalker) a Pm and discuss your application. Great Guy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

when you pull, does Blade pulls free of the sheath or does it all come out?

It depends there are three different way to access the knife. You can pull knife and sheath out at the same time. Pop the handle clear of the sheath and the knife will come out leaving the sheath behind like a Katana.

The third way is to use a static line attached to your belt this automatically strips the sheath off at a predetermined point during the draw. The static line draw is good if your concerned about cutting your clothes on the draw.

If you want to belt carry then it only takes a couple of minutes to R&R.
This style of carry was common with 19th century bowies.
