Ban other than saving weight does the hollow ground section have a particular purpose? It looks cool BTW.

i dont know you ban other than through the forums but your talent is through the roof,seriously.

i dont know if or how many knives you sell but for the sake of the people if not your own wallet PLEASE jump head first into the knife game.

this is only the second time i have seen your actual knives of your own design and they just really speak to me.

i really cant think of a custom maker who's work appeals to me more to be honest.

.....and dare i say it,but,imo you may be the only guy in town who could compete with jerry's designs in the looks department but thats all personal preference.

to me jerry has the best looking knives but i think that bottom one beats a busse,i'm sorry.

Because the knife is pretty fat to begin at .250 The hollow grind is there for 3 reasons....
1) Increase slicing performance yet retain strong tip strength because of the full convex belly and tip
2) Weight reduction
3) And most importantly...it looks cool <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the compliments. I think you like the BT4 because it has heavy Busse influence. Although, I never learned from Jerry directly...I consider him somewhat of a teacher. Modding alot of Busses definately influences some of my designs.

The little pikal knife was made over a year ago and has just been sitting in drawer after getting it back from Paul Bos.

yeah there is a bit of busse influence there but i you definitely add your own flair and vibe,totally making it your own.

and i have always loved that multi-grind type of thing on a blade.not sure if that style has a name.i first became attracted to it from Bud Nealys knives like the Pash-Kabz

I am a fan of multiple grinds on a blade as well. I particularly like the agressive looks of the Mick Strider nightmare grinds and the utility of the Hinderer spanto.

yeah,i think while thay do look really cool they can be very functional as well.

i honestly like ban's interpretation of this grind the best out of the ones i've seem.dont remember if i've seen the strider

What's sweet about the ambidextrous logo and pikal is that no matter how you hold it, hammer or icepick grip, the logo is still right side up.
