Pictures don't do Ban's knives justice. The better-then-satin finish, we call it frosty, is amazing. The BT4 really feels like it's an extension of your hands. The edge is freakishly sharp that I'm afraid to hold it. His knives just have this touch to them.

Is the frosty finish finer than satin, or is it more along the lines of a fine blast?

It's more along the lines of a finer satin, there's just this sparkle to it, like particles of diamonds are embedded in the knife. I don't know, maybe it's the sweat and tears he puts into each knife. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
When Ban goes full time, it's going to be Busse kin and Ban's knives all they way!

What's the overall length on the Pikal? OAL is a hair over 5.5" Cutting edge is about 2 1/4" It really is a small knife designed for smaller hands. It is a 3 finger knife for my hands. I have a slightly larger version drawn up that should fit at least 3 fingers for most and even 4 fingers for smaller hands. I prefer the smaller version myself because I need to carry it openly but still indiscreetly as my EDC.
