Thanks guys .
Yesterday we started the morning with a coffee, well I did anyway . Grabbed the S6, DMDC & YKLE. What's the point in having a S6 & DM when we haven't used them properly yet.

We started it off with some tip work/strength test on some 4x2" pine. The S6 & DM are better than the YKLE for this, but the LE is no slouch here either.
Ad's prefers the DM & I'm real sweet on my S6(Sometimes I think the DM is a mini version of the S6. Same style & look, only miniaturized. Great knife!)
But that works in our favor(different hand sizes) as my hands feel custom fitted to the S6. The DM is not too bad, although I do find it a wee bit small in the handle department for "survival purposes", when comparing the two side by side.
The YKLE has the same size handle as the DMDC, but as I usually use the LE as a skinner(I hold this knife differently) rather than a survival. So it works.
Basically what I'm trying to say is. The Scrapper 6 is king for me in this department, & many others as well! More about that later.

Next saw us take all three onto some hardwood. I did not baby any knife, I went for it! If any where going to show tip weakness, it would of happened here.
The DM was superb here, the YKLE was good & the S6 was again king(for my hand. Ad's preferred the DM). The S6 just rips into it. IMO Scrap Yard Co made these two knives perfect, in tip & blade thickness department for survival users. Just pick a size that fits, & off you go into the bush
I will also say, I'm really glad I invested in two(soon to be 3, SOD coming soon) of these knives for my son. As I have complete confidence these Scrap Yards will never snap or fail my son thought out his life time!
Next up was hardwood(gum), no soft wood here. I dug right through. Starting on one side, reversing, then onto the other side. That S6, WOW.

Some batoning. Again, the S6 was outstanding, as was the DM. The YKLE worked great also.
Ad's & his DM
Decided we needed to pull out the CW out, as we started comparing the 4 knives.
As you would expect, the CW was indeed great, but the S6 does get the job done also.
The LE is no chopper, but will get one out of the pinch if needed. The DM was OK, again, this would work fine if needed.
I know these three shouldn't be compared to the CW in chopping, but I wanted to see for own sakes. Plus I am a firm believer in only taking two, max three knives when I head bush. And if where to head deep bush(backpacking, living out of a bivy, eating SFA), I would only take 1 survival with one small skinner. And I would not even consider going into these areas with anything other than a Bussikin family FIXED, but that's me. So my Scrapper 6 & the SMF.
50 chops for each knife.

End of the day, we had some wood chopped, sliced & carved. Sweet

I was really surprised when comparing the edge of my Swamp Rat to the three Scrap Yard knives. I thought the SR would of held it's edge better & be stronger. I was wrong.
When I first received Yard Keeper LE. Took it bush, used & abused it. Which did leave it with some minor edge damage. Just as another forum member found with his YKLE. But when I re-profiled the edge, all gelled. It's a warrior now!
I even thought that SR-77 didn't hold it's edge that long, on my first tests. Again, this was with the factory edge. I was wrong here. SR-77 holds an edge & holds it well. I'm impressed.
After all the work shown here, our four knives could cape/bone-out a deer no problem. Which means allot to me. It's what I need & what I do at times. Especially when backpacking throughout the hills.
The CW shows no difference in edge wear. All had very slight marks here & there. But we are talking so small that one can only see these under certain light angles. All knives passed the edge retention & wear with flying colors.
I will also say, if I could only pick one knife here. It would be the Scrapper 6. It's king for me for a survival fixed blade.
I will add more later
PS-Dan, we all need another run of S6's mate. CG's, black & tan. I need at least two more
