I am trying to figure out the cutting edge length of the SOD and since it seems that the SOD and DogFather share the same choil I figured that if I knew the Dogfather's I would be able to figure out the SOD's.
Does anyone know?

Dogfather. Length of exposed steel from front of handle to tip of blade, measured parallel to spine: 10+1/8 inch Length of sharped edge from base to tip, measured parallel to spine: 8+5/8 inch <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

With those numbers I calculate that the SOD's cutting edge will be 6".

I'm hoping cutting edge is closer to 7" but that seems unlikely. I just want the SOD to preform close to the FSH, the Busse mascot.
