I just picked up a DFLE and I have to say it is pretty cool. I cant wait to get my SOD to match. I am surprised on how light the DF is for a large blade. It is lighter than my yard hook and much lighter than the Busse FBMCG. Any comments on why it is so light

Congrats! That's why everyone says it's a different beast from the DFCG. The DFLE is full flat so it's lighter then the DFCG and compared to the FBM, it's shorter, stick tang, and res-c handles.
