Maybe so, but Tony convinced me that it wasn't that bad an offer, so I just bought it. I may have to take that morning radio talk show job offer that I got recently, if I keep spending savings at this rate. This ain't gonna be no safe queen either. The first thing I do with a new jeep is get it dirty and scratched up. The BFBM is getting the same consideration. Life is too short to be timid. Sounds like a great acquisition can't wait to see the pics Bors

Hey, Those of you that have the larger Swamp blades, and Busse blades, which one does the dogfather match closest in size? It is bigger than my SBR, and definitely a lot heavier. unfotunatly I don't know. I would love to own some rats but I don't. HD nice score. I'll know the answer very soon, I hope. I'll be playing around with sheath swaps and such, as usual. Thats the beauty of owning several big blades.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

rooikat, (sorry for crapping on your thread!) there was a good thread showing size difference between DF & SBR.. but i can't find it now.. grr.. Even though Dog Father is Lighter than Battle Mistress.. folks have said the DF's Balance is Much more forward.. giving it a "heavier chopper feel". And FBM CG feels more "neutral balanced, not as forward heavy". And FBM LE balance point is even Closer to handle. So I'd be Real curious for a chopping contest between those! see Balance pics below (when i get home i'll post a DF balance pic) Full read = http://bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=449475I don't have any specs on Swamp BR.. **Weight.. Dog Father = 20-22 oz (hmm.. dunno if folks' scales are wacked or DFs vary..) FBM CG = 26.5 oz FBM LE = 30 oz SBR = ?? **Balance.. FBM CG = 26.5 oz FBM LE = 30.0 oz ![[Linked Image from i4.photobucket.com]](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y109/clone7/IMG_3567.jpg) DF = 20-22 oz

The FBM LE is only 4oz lighter than my Randall. I did not realize they were that heavy. The balance looks pretty good for a big knife. Thanks for the pics. Just looking at that FBM makes me glad I've got one coming! What a beast.
