I think I asked this before, what does an AK run, assuming one could be found?
I bought an unused AK with kydex for $770 in late August from a very well-established Hog on the BladeForums Exchange. The description was:

Quote
Black/black with a quality, locally made. kydex sheath with TekLok.

The finish has been "smoothed" a bit from the in-out of the sheath...but the edge is minty.

Nice piece....
The crinkle finish looks great to me -- I've seen beater AKs without a sheath sell for more. I kept watching and wondering why nobody bought it during the descent from $875 to $800. I simply couldn't resist any longer when it fell below $800.

Ok...I overslept and missed my first class. oh well it was just PE anyways.

Everybody talks about the AK, which is my top 3 favorite Busse, but the Ruck is freaking sweet too. It's a mean little one handed sword/chopper. I have no idea why they're more expensive then the AK though (rarer??), in the secondary market at least.

I believe that's the case. BC made a lot of AKs -- several different color combos seemed like a permanent fixture in the Company Store, lasting for months. Then, all of a sudden, within a matter of days, they seemed to all disappear. I don't think nearly as many Rucks were made, and the folks who own them seem to love them. I'm told they're nearly an ideal size to mount on a military medium transport pack.

The rucks don't feel balanced right for me, but that is just me.

I've always liked the feel and balance of the AK much better than the Ruck myself... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

And I wonder what the Ruck would feel like with a shorter grip. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
