That is not uncommon even for factory new knives. The good thing is that SR-77 steel is very easy to sharpen. If you are not already handy with a belt grinder, stones, sharpmaker, Lansky or some other sharpening method, I would highly reccomend taking a look here http://www.barkriverknives.com/home.html . That's a good, easy to follow tutorial for a convex edge.

Glad you like the feel. That's strange that it came dull though. Mine is one of the sharpest factory edges of any that I've received from the Yard. Anyway, good luck sharpening it! I'm sure you'll love it more after that!

I just got one from a fellow on another forum!!! Should be here by the end of the week...those pictures have me foaming at the mouth. Waiting for my DMDC coupled with the long wait I have had to suffer (in a good way) for my CGSOD has me pooped.
