i'd buy at least 2 of either a kukri, a sword, or a Dogfather. Not so sure about a bolo though.

This one is very similar to the one that my instructor brought back for me from the Philippines the last time he was there. Could you imagine something like this with a Res-C handle? ![[Linked Image from i292.photobucket.com]](http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm35/d_filgate/bolo3877076.jpg)

see you guys already have dogfathers.this is no fair. I didn't have one from the yard either; I got my DFLE from the second market, and now I'll be getting a DFCG from the "other" forum, that should arrive just before Christmas.... YAY!

I'm liking this kind of talk. DogFathers, Bolos, Khukri's.........Hmmmmmmm
A DF with a 18" blade would cover all the bases.. Or maybe a 3/16" thick flat or convex gound 14" blade DFLEX (X is for eXtreme). I've always been partial to choppers myself... I like the sound of a DFLEX!

Might have to go 1/4" thick, though, for structural rigidity (although I actually have no idea what I'm talking about as far as that goes).

I would love to have a DF with full flat grind...
but I also want to see what's new around the corner...

i would vote for dogfather. what about you guys. Definitely not. While it's a great knife, going back and making the old designs repeatedly gets old for those of us that pay attention. There are so many wonderful design possibilities that haven't yet been produced that it seems a terrible shame to rehash old models. Besides, there is no particular shortage of DF's in the aftermarket. If you don't have one already, go and find one there.
