It's definitely nice to get out and about Horn Dog. I need to get out and do some walking as well but being on third shift with this job keeps me at home more than I like, but what can you do.

I last walked in snow in 1979. At the time, I swore I'd never miss it. I ate in the snow. I slept in the snow. The Bundeswehr at least had the good sense to set up their command posts in towns in buildings. The US Army was always in the woods. They just seemed to enjoy making the troops as miserable as possible, I guess. I cursed the dreary cold short days and longed for the bright sun of home. But now I do remember how glorious it was in early Winter, with all the evergreens in the forests of Germany, their branches drooping down all covered in snow, like a forest of Christmas trees. I would like to enjoy it again....for about a week, tops! Nice pics.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

We have gallons and gallons of rain here on the Oregon Coast- but usually no snow. The older I get the less I can take cold. After the first of the year we will be outta here for a short but " sunny" getaway. Great pictures folks

I know this is really offtopic but Horn Dog I am really digging that viking helmet in your avatar. A few of us in the Riverwolf Kindred have them. We used to meet and have our blots and such. Somehow, it always ended in a huge drunken party with dangerous sword play and huge fires. I blame the mead. I haven't made any mead in years. Those parties were legendary here locally. Now there are only a few of us at oyster roasts and such. But when the drinking helmets and swords come out, the wives make their men leave. It is funny how putting on a horned helmet can bring out the Viking in folks.
