I hear a lot of people say the SOD is close to the Camp Tramp in size.

Just curious of how much difference there is between the two, can someone who has the Camp Tramp post some comparison pics side by side with the SOD ?

Yes- that would be interesting. The other measurement that I would like to know is " width" . The SODs " appear" to have more width than CT- YG etc- but keep in mind I do not have any yet. I am just viewing pictures and specs-Thanks

I noticed that myself. The SOD's sure look wide, or maybe it is just the way the photos are being taken.

I don't own a Camp Tramp but looking at both, I believe I would rather have the SOD.

Yes- Thanks......... but the SODs still look wider ? Am I imagining? I also would like to know width on YG-YH and S6 if anybody has it. WOW- these are sure great looking knives- don't ya think !!?

SOD is to Tramp as DF is to Battle Rat.

I put the SOD next to the Tramp and they are functionally VERY similar. The SOD is a "bit" thicker, heavier, longer, taller. Also the SOD has the thumb ramp and the square choil which some will love and some won't.

Here are the measurables:

The SOD weighs 15.6 oz, handle identical, blade 7 1/2", clip shorter, 0.255" thick, 1.795" tall

The Tramp weighs 13.9 oz, handle identical, blade 7 3/8", clip longer, 0.244" thick, 1.775" tall

I like the Tramp slightly better, but in almost all respects they are equal. The SOD deserves high praise!

It looks like the SOD is slightly more tapered at the tip, compared to the rather blunt front end of the Tramp.
