you must have alot of pockets nice collection No, just standard 5 pocket Wrangler blue jeans. I need to take a more recent EDC pic, a lot of stuff I carry has changed… I recognize the LG CU500 (greatest phone of all time IMHO 8.2 on CNET). I got everyone I know to get it but I have verizon now so I'm missing it. Yeah, that was my first “contract” cell phone. Then I got the Blackjack. Now I want a BJ II or a Tilt. You can “unlock” a cell phone, and use it with ANY provider. The process varies depending on the phone, but here’s a bit of info: LG cu500 unlock prompt!Howardforums is a good phone forum for phone “experts” to ask questions of, check it out.

what I don't understand about the Ti Charge series is only the handles are titanium, not the tools inside, the point of titanium is a little lighter tool (slight) and corrosion resistance, but the tools can still corrode!
so I can't justify the high price. also for me, a multitool is a secondary tool (especially the blade part), my knife is first, so I don't need an expensive one hand operation MT, plus the expensive titanium "handle!"
just my views WhichDawg, this can be justified when one's wife picks it up as a birthday present at Costco, and not only gets the Ti, but gets a companion Leatherman c303 folder in a kit on sale for $20 less than the price of buying a Ti at regular prices... One does not question, one accepts the gift with the utmost of humility, grace and tries not to knock anyone down as you race out the door to find some wood to cut and some wire to bend.... I heard about that deal! I wish I had gotten one, it was a sweet deal, from Costco and your wife! Lucky dawg

yeah it's hard to beat a SAK for size and all the tools you can get. The biggest difference is in the pliers, SAK pliers are so small, more like for hobbies then EDC; a MT is regular size, but for outside/survival how much would you need a pliers? cutting barbed-wire? a question we each should ask and figure out. Grabbing a billy off the fire without burning yourself; pulling thorns out of your skin; Fixing your backpack frame. Fiddling with your backpacking stove (depends on the kind of stove you carry); Pulling porcupine quills out of your dog; Holding a credit-card sized diamond sharpener so you can touch your knife edge up without slicing your fingers (rest the far side on a log or such); Fiddling with your fishing reel; Grabbing an ember from the fire to light your candle lantern; Making yourself a penny stove; Jury-rigging the handle back onto your cook pot; Fiddling with your outboard motor; Filing your fingernails (I was at my mechanics while they tried to diagnose some problem. I noticed I had a torn fingernail that was sure to catch something and tear painfully. So I used the fine cut file on my Surge to smooth it out. Quoth the mechanic, “You must have really tough fingernails.”); The longer I thought about it, the longer my list got. I don’t say I use my Leatherman all the time in the bush. I do say that when it comes in handy, it really comes in handy. I sweet talked Rainwalker into making me special sheaths for two Leatherman tools. One for a Charge, one for a Surge. Both have room for one bit-kit, a bit extension, one or two drill bits with hex bases that fit into the bit-kit, a AAA flashlight, a fero rod, and a stick of fat lighter. If I walk out my door I have one on my belt. It’s a minor PSK in itself.

It's pretty much the same, but it's black and I think that the blades are TiNi coated. Not sure on that, but it sure looked like it. Cheers

Bet he did a great job-Thanks Ordawg: Yes he did. It looks great, holds things compactly, and rides unnoticed on my belt until I need the Leatherman. Some people are computer illiterate. I’m computer semi-literate myself, and that’s being generous. But I’m seriously camera illiterate. I just don’t have the mindset for taking pictures. I own an antique camera (you load it with film), but I go from one end of the year to the next without taking a picture. It just never occurs to me to grab the camera. I certainly don’t have a photobucket account. So I’m not set up to post the pictures you want. Because Jeff requested it, I did send him pictures of one Leatherman sheath, loaded and with the contents on display. (I asked a friend to take the pictures with a digital camera.) You may be able to talk him into posting them. Now that the Pocket Wrench is available again (Lee Valley has them), I’m looking to score a few and see if I can squeeze one into each sheath. Being able to hold the bottom nut still while you tighten the top nut can be a Good Thing. If I got replacement sheaths from Jeff, I’d ask him to make room for one along with the rest of the tools.

The Pocket Wrench is available again! Cool!!! I carry a Pocket Wrench in several of my Multi tool pouches, Great little tool! I've got several and bought the last couple off of _Bay and I thought the Pocket Wrench was history... I'm really glad to hear that someone is carrying them again! As far as your pics of the pouch Implume... It too some searching but I found them. In addition here's a pic of one of my old beat up Leatherman Surge pouches, I like to include a key ring attachment on mine. I've carried this one for a few years now. I need to make a new one... ![[Linked Image from i150.photobucket.com]](http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s100/rainwalker15/LM_Surge01.jpg)

Thanks, Rainwalker:
The tool on display is the Surge, with replaceable saw blades. You can use any T-shank blade. I used the wood saw blade that came with the Surge, plus one extra. And a couple of the smooth carbide saws that will cut through hardened steel, ceramic tile, and most anything else. I figured, “You never can tell when something like that will come in handy.”

The option of being able to use the different T-shank saw blades is one of the things that I really like about the Surge too. Those Carbide blades might very possibly be invaluable in certain situations.
