i wonder how dan would make a gladius. think it would be flat stock with edges around it or would the grinds meet at the center?

Good question, maybe he'd chime in with a theoretical answer.

The "gladius" in my photo is a Condor Combat Machete. It has a 13" blade of 3.5mm thick 420HC German steel. The handle is sanophrene. It cuts OK, but there are better machetes out there for less. I just thought it looked cool. It is lively in the hand. Only weighs about one lb. I like to stick it in trees.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

If Dan makes one I'm sure it'll have a black Res-C grip

Yeah, at least a more toned down blue. Atlanta Culery has them with a very dark blue handle and bead blast finish. When I bought mine, those were not available.

That was my inspiration for suggesting a SYK gladius. Just think what it could have been. If he makes one, I want the LE version. Imagine, .25" thick with a double convex edge and a black Res C handle. The perfect CQB weapon for the coming chaos.
