I was just messing around with the knives (debating weather to convex them off the bat, or wait until they need sharpening, then convex them - I compromised, I just took them to the leather belt on the sander ), and realized how light in the hand the LE felt compared to the CG. I guess it's due to the full flat grind of the LE vs the high flat of the CG, and well as the penetrator tip on the LE reducing the weight. Anyway, just an interesting observation. P.S. I happen to like the number for the LE... ![[Linked Image from members.arstechnica.com]](http://members.arstechnica.com/x/polarbare/SOD.jpg)

The Joker seems to prefer LE, but he's kinda flashy. ![[Linked Image from i252.photobucket.com]](http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh39/arturotostado3/joker.jpg)

I was wondering the same thing. I am still waiting on my LE but will toss both on my scale and find out .I imagine results will be much the same as the DF but we shall see.

I have the next one on the numerical list. I have #46. 45 would have been awesome though. I have one of the first Kimber 1911's, a Custom Classic.

Alternating my black SOD and my DFLE, they seem to weigh very close to each other. That would indicate quite a difference between the SOD and SOD-LE. Probably the same difference as the DFLE to the DFCG

i like your LE number as well. Sorry wiggity - I kinda like this one too much I'd weigh them, but I don't have an accurate scale that will take the weight.

polarbare,
Have you used them yet? If so, did you notice any difference in use?
Cheers

Probably the same difference as the DFLE to the DFCG The CG model with a good sharp edge should be as good as any 7.5" blade chopper made. That extra weight comes in handy when chopping. I like my LE a lot, but for the money, the CG is a great value.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
