Yea im thinking of a drop sheath with some sort of leg retention. It seems like a heavy blade like this would be more comfortable of the thigh than high on the belt. I could never get used to having the knife handle above my belt level. Just seems awkward to me, however others love it. Again, welcome aboard the Yard Cheers

Welcome to the Yard, unit311. I've made up and sent out several kydex SOD sheaths, and I've got a few pics, but I don't have any that I can post yet, I've been to busy to get to them and I can't upload them here at work... Here's a DFLE sheath I made a while back. It may help to give you some food for thought. An SOD sheath is similar just a little shorter. ![[Linked Image from s150.photobucket.com]](http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s100/rainwalker15/DFkyDrop.jpg)

I know that Renee checked with the shop, and they said the Scrapper 6 Corduras wouldn't fit the SOD, but mine seems to fit fine. Is this a SYKCO sheath or a Ranger sheath? I can't tell them apart. I thought it was a SYKCO. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SYKCO/SODLE002.jpg)
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

It is and it does. Not perfect- but it does. Yes- I think it is a SYKCO for shore

Although they look very much alike I think it is a SYKCO, my Ranger sheath has the velcro higher on the handle. It's the sheath for the RD7 which the SOD fits in- but loosely.

Yeah, I went ahead and got the 10" Cordura sheath from the Yard just to have something to cover the edge until I figure out what I want. It is a bit long, but it functions just fine. | | |

Well the shorter one fits it just fine. The thumb ramp and finger guard on the blade keep it from seating all the way into the liner or the sheath might be just a hair too short. I know they aren't pretty like the nice leather ones, but they work fine and have additional storage in the pouch.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Yes- they fit the SODs and the S6 as far as I know. Not perfect- but they do fit.
