Just browsing another forum and noticed a SOD for sale already, man they have hardly had time to take it out the wrapper eh !!!!!

just like all busse kin "new releases"...im not suprised.

Im sure alot of people just buy the knives to resell them only <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> considering aftermarket prices for busse kin knives are very high most of the time. These knives are purely keepers for me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Everyone who wanted one had ample time to order, so, so what? They didn't acquire their own investments at someone else's expense.

Maybe the folks were having better days when they ordered <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

I bought mine off bladeforum 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I didnt get in on the order so im glad people picked up extras to sell. I did have to pay a bit more for it though obviuosly.

Not everybody in love with good knives hangs out here. There was more than enough time to buy it; but if somebody missed the offer then they would be happy to know that some people took the risk to buy additional ones to resell them later. Let face it, they could also be stuck with them. Half my blades were bought on the secondary market and all the people I dealt with gave me good prices and an honest service. As a matter of fact, my purchasing experience at BF was far better than Ebay for example.

Sorry for the rant but I can't stand the criticism aimed at resellers, you don't want to do business with them then don't do it. Doubt you missed on the SOD because of them.

I have done well on BF also. But- I did even better over on Andy's BKE <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> !!I never bought anything on E before as these others are better. The new system is fair and being a family-type group word gets out with ample time to purchase if we so choose. Way better than the old way and like unit311 says, those who missed out can purchase 'em still. There has to be a markup to justify selling Bussekin- I don't know if I can do it even if I need the money!

The secondary market serves many different purposes:

• It allows people to utilize the capitalist system and make a few bucks so that
  they can finance the next deal that comes along.
• It allows people who missed out, a chance to get in on things.
• It allows people who need quick bucks (in these trying times) the ability to
  maximize their return when it is most needed.
• And it allows others, newcomers like me, the ability to track down great older
  knives like the Camp Tramp that I bought just before Christmas.

I can see what Pitman is getting at.
It does have a kind of mercenary feel to it as it happened very quickly.
