I'm not real big into handle wraps, but I've done a few. Here's a few that I've wrapped in the past, nothing fancy though...

I've never done any wraps before. Where did you learn to do that? Did you just experiment?

The res-c handles work perfect for me, I don't feel the need to wrap it, but they can be handy for certain knives/situation. There's this good link I have saved on my home computer that shows how to do it, I'll post it later when I get home. You can also find a bunch of links on google.

other options are similar
- instead of looping back like in step 5, just cross and keep running in the same direction. Sort of like the wrap on a samurai sword, except in that case you're using a flat material and that's folded twice where they cross. There's a good picture here: http://www.katana4u.com/pages/silk.htm if you look close you can see where the material is turned/twisted.
- a series of overhand knots. Knots end up running in a spiral.
- straight run - just wrap, wrap, wrap, nothing fancy.

550 cord/parachute cord is pretty inexpensive so it's not a too large an investment to buy some and just experiment. - And in an emergency/survival situation you can peel it off to use, not to mention the 6 or so strands of "guts" inside of it.

I usually only wrap neckers. Here's a Swamp Warden I did that I also put a glow in the dark arrowhead pull on. The handle wrap/lanyard are on piece of paracord...

It's fun to try different things and see what works best for different applications. So I suggest to anyone wanting to try it, get you some cord, paracord works great, and just play with it and see what you can come up with. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Well, here's a couple I've done in the past. They're nothing spectacular, but hope you like them. I liked putting them on the handles to either "plump" it out so it fills my hand better, or in the case of the D-guards, so that it keeps my hand from slipping or such while using it.
