I have a few Busse Scotch Dispensers for my small knife tasks and they perform marvelously well. I like them alot.

bruce - it has nothing to do with reading or "doing any type of homework," encouraged by you in some superior/out ranking of me.

1. you YOURSELF stated - Jerry has stated in terms of lateral strength WHICH IS WHAT NOSS IS PRETTY MUCH TESTING, SR77 and INFI are virtually the same.

2. the nmsfno is less thick than the SOD. if these steels are the same (lateral strength/toughness) then the SOD would outperform the NMSFNO in one of NOss's tests. Logic???

but im not going to argue with you and go back and forth with someone who thinks because they've been a JYD longer than me that my opinion's are bollocks and i shouldnt be posting "before i do my hw.."" get off your high horse Bruce. You wont bully me around.

Hey Rec- I think it is just about opinions. Smile-be happy- life is good and you are young and happy. Not an old fart like me. Bruce has some very good info as you do also and everybody here on the yard . This is a great place to be and it should also be FUN . BTW- did you get hold of Amy and see if she might possibly see if some steel pops up ? Might be worth it for sure. Happy Friday guys and we have a new offering -Life is GOOD-Thank You

my opinion's are bollocks . . .
I didn't say they were, recon. I was referring only to your opinions that are contradicted by the facts . . . facts you yourself should be aware of.

As a JYD, you have a duty to try to be as accurate in your statements as possible. Others who haven't been around as long as you have may respect your status on the forum and rely on what you have to say. When you say things that are clearly untrue or inaccurate, you do yourself and The Yard a disservice. And you open yourself to the possibility that someone with the facts may find it necessary to correct you.

'nuff said.

Well stated. I stand corrected. But I do believe that SR77 and INFI are of equal strength in terms of lateral toughness. you, me, and Jerry have all stated this. I just thought that since the SOD was thicker than the nmsfno, it would be a tougher piece. If I am wrong I am wrong and I stand corrected.

ordawg1 - never got around to asking Amy about it. I think I am going to save the $340 and throw it on my Leuopold scope on my remington 700 XCR or into another Glock 19.

I would love to see Jerry give Res-C the respect it deserves by reintroducing it to The Swamp and The Trough.

Drool, res-C on Jerry's knives...

On the micarta thing.. I've got G10 on my BRKT (ss) Bravo 1 and HCLE. Both grips feel nice and it's a great material for small knife handles. (But not res-C mudder great). On bigger knives the fact the micarta feeds the impact shocks straight into your fingers and gives you no ambient temperature insulation nor electrical protection means to me it's an inferior grip material! (Observations from limited use of my BATAC CG). But I will happily concede that micarta (over INFI) under some form of wrapping, perhaps electrician tape then a THICK layer of duct tape or friction tape would make for a handy big knife. But as Dan makes us such nice big knives with lovely res-C handles for pennies compared to Jerry's stuff- Dan's the man!

JYD #3 Poor, but still dreaming of a sage and black SOD CG...

Well Bruce, I guess if you want a Rolls Royce you will have to pay the price! Otherwise, you'll have to drive a Dodge truck - like ME!

Dont be fooled, Klink has a collection that would put many of us to shame. What kinda Dodge you rolling around in Klink?

Bruce - i agree, everyone should own one piece, at least, of INFI. I am gonig to buy a big piece of INFI here soon. I am upset that the order I placed on the NMSFNO wasnt able to work out for me
