theirs different types.

the best ones i know of are the pen style ones from rich hinderer made from titanium but they are expensive.

the cheap ones would still work the same though.

their is a bunch of pens now that are designed to pull double duty as kubatons as i'm sure you know.i have handled one from MIL-TAC,BENCHMADE & SUREFIRE.i liked the surefire one the best because it twists open as opposed to having to unscrew a cap which i would probably loose and its much more hefty and looked classier imo

i think the hinderer ones are cooler though and would rather have one of those.

here's the surefire which runs about $125

i'd rather have one of these cheap "throw away" ones for actual self defense although the courts would nail someone to the wall if they actually used one on someone.

Well the Rick Hinder one is about as fancy as you can go, titanium and modular.
I like the Surefire pen over the other pens, it is the only one that is not pointy the Benchmades, Mil-Tacs, and Timberlines all have an evil looking point on them.
Another option is making your own, or have a local knifemaker or machine shop make you one for you to your own specs.

I bought an aluminum one like in the pic northern1 posted for $5 at the 1500 awhile back. I've seen plans on the net to make your own. What style/material/price range are you looking for?

i agree with recon here.i personally would go with an injection molded plastic one over aluminum and alpha inovations is good stuff
