Easy, the YARD KEEPER. this blade is seriously underrated. its a tank and small enough to conceal. and far more tough than the Bird Doggie <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
the YK would definitely be a much tougher blade.its thicker, wider and made of S7 opposed to a stainless but that all means nothing if we're just talking self defense.
the MPLE,SS4 and leaners and meaners would all be great too but there's one thing the BDLE has over them and thats blade length and in most cases is probably a bit thinner.
the thinner it is the easier it penetrates clothing and flesh.less friction. the longer it is obviously the farther it will penetrate, subsequently causing that much more damage and the longer it is the more belly it has for that much more slashing capability and the BDLE might have the pointiest tip.
i also think the long, drawn out curve will land a hand to its leathality
of all the blades just mentioned the BDLE would be my guess for the first one to crumble under noss's tests but for self defense i think imo it out does'em all.
i dont even look at this thing as a fillet knife anymore and to think i almost didint bother ordering one, few.
