lately i've been using my BDLE to cut all the limes for my tequila{thats a lot of limes} and i got to thinking that the BDLE would be one nasty self defense weapon.

some may say one of the DF's would be the best due to pure size,heft and brute power.i am undecided on which is a better size for SD.obviously for a larger animal like a blackbear or something the bigger the knife the better.

i can say that out of any of the knives that could be EDC'd i think the BDLE with its long,thin,super pointy and curved blade could would be the most efficient stabber and cutter when were talking flesh,animal or human.

the grip the on the large mudder res-c handles and their design is hard to beat and a knife like that is going to be very quick in the hand.

also for political/legal considerations in not too bad.the courts would look at self defense with a leatherman or SAK differently than they would with some knarly draggon slayer blade or a super tactical strider with "nightmare" grinds on the blade.

the only thing is the scrapyard logo with the mean looking dog.

so what do you guys think is the best scrapyard knife for self defense??
