Took a pic today to show you how bad the snow was here. This pic was taken on my road, a mile or two East. Every year this spot drifts bad, because there are fields on both sides, and no trees for a loooong way. Anyway, last Saturday my Mom and I came back form shopping in Indy. We came down our rode from the other direction, and knowing how it always drifted badly here, we thought we’d check it out and see if we’d be able to make it to church.
By the time I saw how deep it was, it was too late. I was afraid to get stuck, so I kept going. I was in a tall ’04 Dodge Ram in 4x4. I could see it was several feet deep, but I kept going trying to bust through, even though I didn’t have a plow. Anyway, it finally got too bad, and I got stuck.
It took 5+ minutes, but I kept rocking it back and forth until I got going and bust through. Later, we called and reported it to the county so they could take care of it.
So, after several days of warmer weather, and slight melting, here’s what the area looked like today:
Pardon my hair, the wind was blowing. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Here’s our truck I was driving that got stuck:
