I actually felt like I was wasting Jeff's talents by getting a plain old kydex sheath from him instead of leather, but this is what I wanted for my SOD, and this sheath is still a work of art!
I can't believe how perfectly it grips the handle and releases with just the right pressure, with no drag on the blade whatsoever.

Kydex is beautiful when it is extremely functional and does what it is supposed to do. Love the Kydex drop loop!!

NB,

Kydex when it comes from The Rainwalker is never JUST a kydex sheath!

The alignments of the holes the shaping and even the way your "Drop Leg" kydex panel is made.
Not from the same piece of kydex "the easy way out" but a all together different piece that you can remove and replace with a large Tek-Lok clip and wear the SoD horizontal and vertical depending on your mood.

Another fine piece of craftsman ship from Jeff.

Enjoy that beautiful rig NB!

Peace.

As much as I love my Rainwalker leather, his kydex has a lot going for it. First is safety. There is no way the blade will cut through the sheath to stab you in the event of a fall. The price is also attractive. And kydex is pretty much immune to weather. Jeff's kydex clothes one of my SARsquatches, my Dumpster Mutts, all my mudder handled scrappers, and several of my other brand small belt knives. They all fit perfectly.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I went out to play around with the SOD for the first time today, the trees were frozen solid so it was no fun chopping anything but I did get a couple nice pics with my crappy old camera.
