Welcome to scrapyard! I'm still a bit of a newbie here myself and managed to snag myself a scrapyard from the previous knife offering. As others have stated the key is a bit of patience, or if you lack that then to do some sleuthing and being prepared to pay higher prices for things that you just gotta have know.
All that said, the scrapyard forum is a community of users and I think it is fair to say that the folks around these parts are more than the knives they carry. Its a great place to hang out and talk about knives and other things. I love my scrapyard knife and I look forward to purchasing other offering from this company as well as other bussekin knives. However, I also like other blades just as well and view scrapyard as filling and excelling at certain niches.
Of course, most of my pre-conceptions about scrapyard were thrown right out the window with the offering of the scrapmuk. Take a closer look at that blade. It is unique and original and has a lot to offer. Plus, once it is gone, it will probably stay gone.

loneeagle, welcome to the Yard. as others have said, one knife is up at a time. Right now the Muk is king, but previously the SOD was king. We don't know what will be king next, but I for one am looking forward to that. Others have mentioned the secondary market exchange on Bladeforums. Also checkout the Bussekin Exchange which is run by one of our own senior forum members. Look at the sticky post put up by ColdOne, that steelfan was talking about for information on how to find them.
Cheers

good things come to those who wait.like the toughest knives made in the history of the earth.
think of it like aged whiskey or wine.
if your someone who appreciates the finer things in life or someone who's life may depend on the tools they purchase, carry and use than your in the right place.
my only suggestion would be to get familiar like someone else said and give it time.dont rush to conclusions.when i first discoverd scrapyard and busse knives i almost wrote them off because i couldnt just buy the [censored] knife like we're so used to being able to do.
good thing i didnt seeing how i've sold just about every other fixed blade knife i own to replace them with busse family knives and i also would've been missing out on the best knife forum on the web and i really mean that.i'm on them all but this is home and the best group of dudes your gonna find.
its a wild and addicting ride.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am stationed overseas so it is good to hear from you all. A very tight knit group you all are.

No "probably" about it, kgd. According to Dan, Limited Edition knives are only made once. That's why they're called "limited". <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Well stated Dan
