Hi Ya'all
Was at the local bar last night (always go for a couple of beers on a Friday after work) & I get a call on my cell phone (which I missed ~ was buying my round!) Missus was saying "I couldn't find the Global kitchen knife so I used that black Scrap Yard thing you are always going on about" ??
Came back home to to find the "lady of the house" slicing up vegetables & fish with my S6 !
I ask you?
Mind you ~ she did say it was as sharp as Hell!

I have had that very thing happen with two HRLMs and a BAD. She doesn't use them so much in the kitchen, but they are "Her" knives when we go camping.

meatcutter - that will be the day when you open you newest lovely and she'll just pluck it right out of your hand and say. Thanks - this is just what I wanted. This is the exact thing that happened when I opened up my stag + mosaic pinned bark river micro-canadian. I says to wifey - "check this out". Wifey says - "thanks, that's just what I was looking for". So now I have to borrow my new knife from her when I want it!

Hehee....I can just imagine....thankfully my ex-missus never figured out what I saw in knives...her only concern was that "my" knives were used to butcher any venison or game birds....and not her "kitchen" knives...LOL....

In a house full of sharp knives, including those in the kitchen, my youngest daughter decided to go out to the garage and fetch my CS Panga to prepare skewers from palmetto fronds for her birthday weiner roast. The panga was nearly as big as she was. I handed her a smaller golok. Of course, my girls are familiar with knives and how to use them. Her excuse was that she didn't want to make me mad by using one of my "good" knives that I keep in the house for whacking palmettos. Like she would hurt a Dog Father or FBM or BRKT golok by whacking pamettos.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Linda knew that I keep the machetes out near the other yard tools. And she had seen me using them on the brush outside. She had four skewers chopped down by the time I got home with the cake. She used her own Mora to finish them. She has a YKLE of her own, but she likes the little Moras for fine work. She isn't stupid.
